Our annual two-day Summer Institute brings together educators, students, parents and community members to explore and share insights on how community-school partnerships can transform practices towards more inclusive and equitable opportunities for teaching and learning.

Thursday August 21, 2014 (Full-Day)

Friday, August 22, 2014 (Half-Day)

1:00 PM to 4:00 PM  PLEASE NOTE REVISED TIME: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM (registration opens at 8:15 AM)

Reggie Moore Keynote YCEC Summer Institute 2014Keynote Address: “From Outcasts to Assets – Engaging Schools, Families and Youth in the Transformation of Communities.”

Reggie Moore, Founder & Executive Director of the Centre for Youth Engagement will address asset-based community development that identifies community needs and opportunities. Insights will be shared on building and sustaining effective community partnerships, and on ways of promoting authentic youth engagement that moves youth from subjects to agents of change.
